Two perfectly seared Philly Gourmet® Smashed Patties are layered with melty Swiss cheese and piled high with golden, buttery sautéed mushrooms. Crisp curly leaf lettuce adds a fresh crunch, all tucked into a toasted sesame seed bun. Every bite is an irresistible blend of juicy, cheesy comfort food at its finest!
Ingredients:
- 8 Philly Gourmet® Smashed Patties
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 lb. white button mushrooms, sliced
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 whole sesame seed buns, split and toasted
- 4 leaves curly leaf lettuce
Let’s do it…
- Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden-brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to plate and set aside.
- Season patties with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, or griddle, cook patties according to package directions. With about 1 minute remaining on cook time, top patties evenly with cheese.
- Top bottom buns evenly with lettuce, then one patty, a few tablespoons of mushrooms, a second patty, remaining mushrooms and the top bun.
