Two perfectly seared Philly Gourmet® Smashed Patties are layered with melty Swiss cheese and piled high with golden, buttery sautéed mushrooms. Crisp curly leaf lettuce adds a fresh crunch, all tucked into a toasted sesame seed bun. Every bite is an irresistible blend of juicy, cheesy comfort food at its finest!

Ingredients:

  • 8 Philly Gourmet® Smashed Patties
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 lb. white button mushrooms, sliced
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 whole sesame seed buns, split and toasted
  • 4 leaves curly leaf lettuce

Let’s do it…

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden-brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to plate and set aside.
  2. Season patties with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, or griddle, cook patties according to package directions. With about 1 minute remaining on cook time, top patties evenly with cheese.
  3. Top bottom buns evenly with lettuce, then one patty, a few tablespoons of mushrooms, a second patty, remaining mushrooms and the top bun.
