Creamy avocado and fresh arugula add just the right touch of richness and crunch. It’s the perfect way to start your day—or make any meal feel like a special occasion!

Ingredients:

  • 4 Philly Gourmet® Backyard Grillers Beef Patties
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 large eggs
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices yellow cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 8 round frozen waffles, toasted
  • 1 cup packed baby arugula, optional
  • 2 avocados, halved, pitted, peeled and sliced
  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked

Let’s do it…

  1. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches if necessary, cook eggs until whites are set and yolk is still runny, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Repeat with remaining butter and eggs.
  2. Season patties with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, cook patties according to package directions. With about 1 minute remaining on cook time, top patties evenly with cheese.
  3. Drizzle a few teaspoons of maple syrup over each waffle. Top 4 waffles, syrup-side-up, evenly with arugula, patties, fried eggs, avocado, bacon and the remaining waffles, syrup-side-down.
