This Classic American Bacon Double Smash Burger stacks two crispy-edged Philly Gourmet 100% Beef Smashed Patties with melty Colby Jack, layers on smoky bacon, and piles it all high with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. A generous swipe of that tangy special sauce ties it together. It’s bold, it’s familiar, and it shows up exactly how a proper burger should…no shortcuts, no apologies.

Ingredients:

  • 8 Philly Gourmet® Smashed Patties
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices Colby Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup of special sauce
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked
  • 1 head leaf lettuce, for serving
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1 large red onion, sliced into rings
  • 4 brioche burger buns, toasted

Let’s do it…

  1. Season patties with salt and pepper. In large skillet or griddle, cook patties according to package directions. With about 1 minute remaining on cooking time, top patties evenly with cheese.
  2. Top bottom buns evenly with special sauce, two slices of bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, two patties and top buns.

Tip: To make special sauce, combine 1 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish and 2 tablespoons mustard in a small bowl.
